A YOOzeCase Company is a small software studio from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, that builds elements and plugins for YOOtheme Pro on Joomla and WordPress. It's run by Joe and Denver, who have built more than 50 websites with YOOtheme Pro. Every product starts from a real use case, which is also where the name comes from.

Why do we build our own YOOtheme Pro extensions?

We started out building websites, for clients and for our own sites, with the elements YOOtheme Pro ships with. That worked for a while. But the questions kept coming: clients wanted stronger communication, a more personal identity, more functionality, better UI and design. At some point the standard elements didn't stretch far enough, so we began writing our own plugins.

Smart Grid is a good example. A standard grid couldn't do what we needed: show items from RSS feeds and play media from sources like Spotify right inside the grid, with a player styled to match. RSS sources for YOOtheme Pro already existed, but none of them combined feeds, media playback and grid styling in one element. So we built it.

After a while we noticed other developers were running into the same walls. That's when we decided to sell our extensions, so they could use them too.

Why YOOtheme Pro?

We tried other page builders, especially in the early days, and many of them came with heavy, bloated code. YOOtheme Pro is built on UIkit, a lightweight front-end framework, and that clicked with us right away: clean markup and fast pages, on a design system you can actually build on.

Where does the name YOOzeCase come from?

A lot of extensions copy each other. Same features, new name. We start at the other end: a real use case one of our clients runs into, and that other YOOtheme Pro users probably share. Or a way of doing something that nobody has done yet.

So YOOzeCase is a play on "use case", with a wink to YOOtheme.

Serious tools, built with a sense of humor

Humor is what keeps Denver and Joe going. We think you can laugh a lot and still ship reliable software, and our products are proof of that. The Most Useless Element Ever does exactly what the name says. What the Footer Game turns a footer into an arcade. And our serious products get a joke too, in the name or as an easter egg somewhere. Scroll down to the footer of this page if you don't believe us.

For agencies, freelancers and developers who build with YOOtheme Pro on Joomla, WordPress or both. Especially when they run into something YOOtheme Pro doesn't do yet, or when there's a better way to do it than the one everybody uses.

It depends on the product. Most of our elements are built for YOOtheme Pro on Joomla, and several also run on WordPress. Some, like Traffic Boost Indexing, are Joomla only. Each product page lists the platforms it supports.
